Important message to all patients – new clinical system migration

Over the next 2 years all GP Surgery’s in Scotland will be moving to a new National Clinical System. The system that’s in place is now unfit for purpose. Our practice transition started 8 weeks ago. Over the next 4 weeks we will be migrating to our New Clinical System.

Unfortunately this will affect the service the practice can provide. The service will be limited due to us not having access to our normal clinical systems including your medical records. This will be during the dates below. We would hope that our service will return to normal on Wednesday 28th January 2026.

What this means for you the patient

From the Wednesday 21st January 2026 to Wednesday 28th January 2026 – Our GPs will have no access to your medical records and have limited access to process prescriptions.

The practice will also be suspending all online services during this time.

The practice will also be unable to register any new patients during this transition.

During this transition to our new system during the dates provided, the practice will not be able to provide our normal service, we will only have capacity for urgent cases.

We will have no advance bookings for the month of January 2026. We are aware that this is not ideal but this change is out with our control.

If your health concern is urgent during the dates provided please contact the practice on 01475 705604.

You can also log on to NHS Inform website for self-help guides www.nhsinform.scot or contact your local pharmacy for advice. Please contact us after these dates for routine health requests.

We would like to thank you in advance for co-operation and patience during this time and would like to apologise for any inconvenience this may cause you. The practice staff are working as normal and will be able to help with any enquires you have.

Thank you

Dr Dooley, Dr MacPhie, Dr Page & Dr Copeland
